You make some very interesting points, ones that can be applied to all kinds of online dating (gay, straight, etc.). I had a profile a few months back, and there were a number of realizations that I had. No matter how you do it, you don’t know the person you’re talking to. You can talk for months, but you just don’t know them at all. When you meet, the humanization begins; perhaps that’s why it fails. The work isn’t done; it begins when you meet as two people, not two profiles.

grim message mate. I agree with the sentiment, gay online dating doesn’t work. I like the challenge for people to grow some balls and return to doing things in real life, I fear I’ve lost the confidence I used to have before all these online “social networking” sites. We are seeing the break-down of modern society!

It’s like going shopping 4 a certain item of clothing u really want. U don’t know where to get it, and just go to a lot of stores. U can’t seem to find the exact same item u’ve got pictured in ur mind, and the only response to what u do find is that u’re not sure u like it enough to buy it and be satisfied. Later u might regret buying it or learn to appreciate it

When u go shopping not knowing what u’ll find, u might just bump into something u haven’t thought of be4, but u just love the minute u lay eyes on it. Then u want to know whether or not they have it in ur size, how much it costs, etc.
